These sit higher than the tray to maximize food volume while still fitting in the freeze dryer slots.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nIn the example photos we made \"camping spaghetti\" and \"campers breakfast\" in different portion sizes. \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nCleaning:\u003cbr\u003e\nIn our example photos you can see that we put spaghetti with red sauce into the dividers so you know it was going to have that red staining you‘ve probably seen on household plastic storage containers. We cleaned ours right after these pictures were taken using the process below. The whole process was less than 5 minutes of actual hands-on time and they were cleaned, sanitized, and bright white again.  The rest was waiting time.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nLike anything with food contact, cleaning and sanitizing food prep items is important. You can certainly hand wash these with warm water and dish soap like you would most things you cook with, but we use these for our commercial freeze drying business and we clean and sanitize them like this:\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n1. Clean and rinse off any food debris with clean warm water\u003cbr\u003e\n2. Fill a single side of a double or triple wash sink with new \/ clean warm water\u003cbr\u003e\n* you likely have a 2 sided regular kitchen sink\u003cbr\u003e\n* warm means that you can put your bare hand in the water without it burning you\u003cbr\u003e\n* if the water is too hot to put your hands in it, it may be too hot and cause warping\u003cbr\u003e\n* do not put these in the dishwasher.\u003cbr\u003e\n3. Add 2 caps or aprox 1oz of no-splash \/ non-scented bleach.\u003cbr\u003e\n4. Let soak submerged for 7-10 minutes\u003cbr\u003e\n5. Remove and place on paper towels and let air dry for 10-15 minutes.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n* DO NOT put these in the dishwasher as most dishwashers have water temperature boosters and heating elements for drying. These are also great when used to confine certain candies to a uniform size making them more consistent and easier to package.
